Beautiful Day

Wow!! I woke up in such a great mood this morning! I just got on the scale and I am down 4 pounds from yesterday!! I'm at 295 now!! YEAH!! I feel great eating low carb! This is my first week of my healthy way of eating so I know I lose alot of weight the first week. I went outside this morning to play with Brady, my beagle and spring is definitely in the air. The air smelled so crisp and clean and there was so much activity outside. I've noticed more buds on the trees from yesterday and the ducks and other birds were all flying about. A welcome change from a few weeks ago. And the sun is shining!!! To top all of this off, I checked my email and I had interest expressed in my candle business since I went to bed last night and entry for my Free Candle drawing! I love my business!! It even works while I'm sleeping!!

Beginning Anew

I feel so alive today! I am so excited about life! I have started this blog to hold me accountable as well as to inspire other readers. I began a journey of self-development last year when I decided to take control of my life by letting go and following God's purpose for my life. I know those are contradictory statements; however, that seems to best capture the essence of what I want to convey. I have always been a helper which led me into the social work profession. While the work has been very rewarding, it is also very draining, leaving little time and money for family and friends and supporting true passions of mine both financially and with my time. I know God has much more in mind for me than what I was currently doing. I began looking for ways to increase my earnings and increase the time I had available to spend on my passions including my friends and family. I decided having my own business would be the best option for me and my family. I began researching business options. I knew I loved candles and thought about selling natural scented candles on the internet. I researched many opportunities and joined an amazing gourmet candle company where I have my own candle business to run any way I want, including on the internet! My life has been blessed with my business. I began realizing that to be truly wealthy and to serve God's Purpose, I also needed to be healthy in mind and body. I have struggled with my weight since about the age of 9. Last week I finally admitted to myself, to God and to those close to me, that I need help to become healthy. It was as if God turned the switch for me. Last Saturday I woke up and decided that I am a healthy woman and that to truly live as God intends, I have to be healthy! I have been eating low carb as a way of life since Saturday!!! This is just one more step in being the person I am intended to be!!
